A journey in colour

Paintings inspired by myths, birds and life.

A crafted personal approach

Joyful paintings created by Adriana Eyzaguirre. A Chilean painter, working in Odysseus’ Island in Greece and London. Mixing the vibrancy of Latin America, the light and tales of Ithaca and the richness of English sensibilities.

Like a wandering mutt, an open vessel, a compulsive artist.

Themes

Greek divas and monsters from Ithaca’s most famous tale. Necromancers, poisoners and witches or women with wisdom and mastery over the natural world?
People, faces and the body.

— Homer’s tales.

Birds from English nature bringing vibrancy, colour and life to the grey skies. Much is inspiration is derived from ukiyo-e prints and 18th century English interiors.

— The birds.

Contrasted and colourful still lives as studies to explore paint, light, brush strokes, colours, lines and positioning of objects.
